Even Barney the White House Scottish Terrier is a craven liar who's chief objective in life is to cover up evidence of his own incompetence.  The WH had the hubris to post this long sappy video from Barney's page showing Barney in an elaborate cover-up in which, after finding out that he can't find the new White House puppy that he is responsible for, he goes and buys a plush toy hoping nobody will notice.  He is given the idea by a staffer who shows him the film "Meet the Parents" in which one of the characters replaces a missing cat with one of similar appearance.

Last night, I saw the premier of Wellstone! (this is what his bumper stickers said).  It will be playing at various cities throughout Minnesota, as well as Madison and UW-Eau Claire WI, through the election.  See schedule, homepage for film and wellstone.org for more information.
